Silver Moon

Cancun was like a silver moon

Loud talks slow walks

That water slowly glistened

Made me stop and listen

Meeting new people was not my mission

Kisses and smiles

Damn this week was wild

Tequila was the word of the day

Bartender kept pouring those drinks

I don't speak spanish but the word gracias just rolled off my tongue

Buenos dias this can be us

I sat by the pool with this young man

As we watched everyone swm around

He didn't know he was standing on his own stage

Once he broke out of his shyness

He helped me write this

My dress was soaking as I jumped right in

swimming until 2 am

Balance

I always felt misunderstood

Now I just feel like I understand

Some call me a dreamer

Some think I wear my emotions on my sleeves

Some have never seen emotion from me

Life looks  much better from this angle

Working on getting out of the triangle

Not with only pictures of my life

I loved the pen since day one

Especially when I wrote without a rhyme

I was wide awake while everyone slept

Learning to be more strategic with my steps

I stopped asking myself why ?!

A woman walked into the room and thought are they all looking at me?!

They are looking at the man that walked in behind you

Every other woman thought I found you!

Only if they knew he was in love with the woman in front of him.

He thought I found you! I will be the strength that grounds you.

 She moved so softly there was almost a glow to her.

  I had to let  go of her . What could I really offer her?

I woke up today and everything felt so amazing

 Opening my eyes welcoming the sun in

The water dripping on my skin

 The music making love to my ear drums

 I slowed down and took the long route

 Freeing my Spirit

Freeing my soul

I can't swim but I'm jumping in

I want to hold my breath until I can no longer feel it

Floating on my back
                         
The world looks so infinite

Please don't hold my hand I want to immerse in it
                       
 Catch me in my element

Sitting on top of the willow tree

I'm so high up

This can't be a dream

When I see you there is no need to speak
